About the Event

As Europe accelerates its digital and green transitions, ensuring that people have the right skills has never been more important.

Join us in Brussels and online for the European Digital Sustainability Skills Conference, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, educators, researchers, and skills experts to explore how Europe can build a workforce ready for a sustainable digital future.

The event will showcase the key achievements and lessons learned from the first two years of the Digital4Sustainability project while creating a space for dialogue on the challenges and opportunities ahead. Through expert insights, interactive discussions, and real-world examples, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how digital sustainability skills can drive innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable growth across Europe.

This event is part of the European Skills & VET Week 2026, an initiative of the European Commission organised by Cedefop.

What We’ll Explore

The programme will combine project insights with broader discussions on the future of skills for the twin transition, including:

  • Skills needs and workforce challenges in a rapidly evolving economy
  • Digital sustainability and the impact of AI and other emerging technologies
  • Education and training approaches that prepare learners for future careers
  • Upskilling and reskilling strategies for professionals and organisations
  • The role of SMEs in driving sustainable digital innovation
  • Future workforce trends and youth engagement
  • European policy developments shaping the skills agenda
  • Practical tools, frameworks, and resources developed through the Digital4Sustainability project

Whether you work in policy, education, industry, or research, the event offers an opportunity to exchange ideas, discover practical solutions, and connect with stakeholders committed to strengthening digital sustainability skills across Europe.
