AI Under EU Digital Law
Course Description
The European Union has established a comprehensive framework of digital rules covering data, artificial intelligence, online services, and cybersecurity. This course provides a pragmatic, non-technical introduction to the EU Digital Regulatory Framework, with a focus on what organisations need to understand and apply in practice.
Designed as a short, intensive three-morning module, the course helps participants identify how key EU digital regulations affect their activities, responsibilities, and rights when using, developing, or purchasing digital and AI-driven solutions. The emphasis is on practical interpretation, real-world use cases, and actionable guidance rather than legal theory.
Participants will explore the four core pillars of EU digital regulation: digital services, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, and AI-specific rules. Particular attention is given to the GDPR, the Data Act, the AI Act, and the broader liability framework, with clear explanations of what applies today, what is expected next, and how to prepare.
Through concrete examples, practical tools, and guided exercises, participants will learn how to assess their specific context, determine which rules apply, and identify reliable sources of information and support. By the end of the course, participants will leave with a personalised compliance roadmap, a clear checklist of applicable obligations, and the confidence to approach EU digital regulation in an informed and proportionate way.
