Course content


  • Introduction to large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT
  • Experiment with different use cases
  • Discuss limitations, both technical and ethical
  • Program LLMs, both closed and open-source models (technical profile workshop day)
  • Design a Chatbot Web application (technical profile workshop day)


Learning outcomes


  • Understand the technology behind large language models within machine learning
  • Identify primary use cases for LLMs and formulate effective prompts
  • Recognize and address technical limitations and ethical issues associated with LLMs
  • Utilize and program with LLMs in Python
  • Apply methods for data augmentation and fine-tuning
